“Here at MOPS, we are on a mission to celebrate motherhood. We build circles of women who love each other like family, because raising humans is beautiful and hard, and having each other to lean on is life-giving. That’s why we connect moms all over the world to a community of women, in their own cities, who meet together to laugh, cry and embrace the journey of being a mom. This is motherhood, and together we can change the world in all the best ways.” – MOPS International
MOPS (Mother’s of Preschoolers) meets the second Thursday of every month September through May. Morning or “AM” MOPS meets 9:00-11:15 a.m. and childcare is provided for children birth through Kindergarten. Limited space is also available for older homeschool children on a first come basis. MOPS is for all moms whether you are expecting your first child, are a foster mom, adoptive mom, or seasoned mommyhood vet.
So what do we do at our “AM” MOPS meetings? Each meeting we offer a light continental breakfast, coffee, tea and juice. Breakfast is followed by a craft or service activity, a speaker and “break out” time. Our “break out” times are formatted to allow our moms time to connect, build friendships, and discuss the talk our speaker gave.
Outside of our monthly meetings we get together for playdates, moms night out events, and evenings with our Mentor moms. There is a $70 fee to register for “AM” MOPS, this fee includes all monthly meetings, childcare at each meeting, and a year long membership with MOPS International. Included in the MOPS International membership is a membership kit, with lots of resources and goodies, plus a gift! You will also receive a subscription to the MOPS Magazine. Registration for 2018-19 is open, Register Now! (you will be taken to a third-party site we use). “AM” MOPS meet at Brandywine Valley Baptist Church. Get Directions.
Meeting dates and format for our “PM” MOPS varies. Most of our “PM” moms work outside of the home so it is important that we create a flexible format for these meetings that honors your schedule. Our main priority is to give each mom the opportunity to connect and build relationships, have a time to refresh, and encourage you on your motherhood journey. We wrap that all together with a delicious dinner, laughter, craft time and a speaker. There is no childcare provided for “PM” MOPS. Registration for 2018-19 is open, Register Now! (you will be taken to a third-party site we use). There is a $55 fee to register for “PM” MOPS, this fee includes all monthly meetings and a year long membership with MOPS International. “PM” MOPS meet at the home of a MOPS mentor. If you would like the address of this month’s meeting location please call or text our PM MOPS Coordinator Mandy Braselton. We look forward to meeting you and having you join our group.
Welcome friend, we can’t wait to meet you… #thisismotherhood
