Marriage Workshop, April 28, 2018
Modern culture would have you believe that everyone has a soul-mate, that romance is the most important part of a successful marriage, that marriage does not mean “until death do us part,” but merely for as long as my needs are being met, and that when serious differences arise, divorce is the best solution. According to the Bible, all of these modern-day assumptions miss what marriage is all about.
On Saturday, April 28 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Brandywine Valley Baptist Church will be hosting a marriage workshop entitled The Meaning of Marriage. In the book The Meaning of Marriage, Timothy Keller, along with his wife of thirty-six years, Kathy, draws a profound portrait of marriage from the pages of Scripture that neither idealizes nor rejects the institution but points us back to the relationship between God and man.
Whether you are single, married or plan on being married, join us as Pastor Todd and Kaely Johnson lead this powerful workshop geared towards the examination of the Christian understanding of marriage.
You may register on Sundays in the Lobby beginning April 1 or online. Childcare is available for children in grade 5 and under. Request this during registration. The cost is $5/person or $10/couple and includes a Chick-fil-a lunch and pizza for the children. Registration closes Monday, April 23.
Investing in your marriage is one of the best investments you’ll ever make. Come join us on April 28! REGISTER NOW. You will be directed to a third-party website we use for event registration (bvbc.ccbchurch.com).
